glock 17 problems

glock 17 problems

Glock 17 Problems - Glock is known for making some of the most popular handguns on the market and for good reason. Simple, reliable and rugged handguns that spark interest in the industry - funny, right? When you start a plan that works and works well, many people end up with "updates" and adjustments as a marketing strategy. The latest Glock 17 (Gen-5) is a handgun trusted by many in the LE and military community. Let's take a closer look at this gun in this Glock 17 Gen-5 review.

I believe it's only fair for me to be honest and say that I own a few Glocks (including a Gen-4 Glock 17.)  So maybe I'm biased by my experience. With that in mind, I don't like everything about Glock - and I probably never will. My personal opinion is that it is important to look beyond brand loyalty, especially when it comes to guns.

Glock 17 Problems

Glock 17 Problems

It's no secret that the Glock 17 holds a prestigious position in the gun community. With extensive government and private use, the G17 has become a standard among full-size handguns. Austrian-made 9mm polymer pistols have seen widespread use since the 1980s. Whether you're a Glock fan or not, its reputation is undeniable.

Glock 17 Jam Issue

Glock released the Gen-5 lineup in 2017 as their last generation (as of when we published this article.) Each generation brings changes. Some of the changes to the Gen-5 G17 are minor, while others are notable. An improved barrel, no fingerprints, a beveled magazine well flared, and enhanced features are found on the Gen-5 models.

With a full frame and long barrel, the Glock 17 will serve well for most people. If you are used to shooting single-action pistols, the G17 should be considered a shotgun. Not exactly - but you get the idea.

When I was first handed the Gen-5 Glock 17 for this review, I felt right at home with it – not that different from the Gen-4 Glock 17 I own. The changes are not different and the fit of the hand is the same, except for the fingers.

As with other bells, the image is separated and the beauty is intact. The ergonomics and features found in Glocks are things that people either love or hate.

Review: Glock 17

I immediately noticed the flared magazine, which is something you'd see on a Gen-4 G17. For many people, this is a nice touch to make quick and easy book changes.

My experience with the Gen-5 Glock 17 in general has been very positive and delivered surprisingly well. For this review, I ran several hundred different types of bullets through the G17. All ammo ran smoothly - including the Federal Premium 147 gr. HST ammo I tried.

In terms of accuracy, I'm very impressed with the G17 beyond 25 yards. Reloading is something I know and appreciate when shooting. This is something I'll touch on a bit, but it's a big improvement.

Glock 17 Problems

From a concealment perspective, I don't see much of an attempt to carry a concealed G17. If you're not a big person, the image may be difficult to hide properly without large layers. With that being said, I think that the picture can work well for the waist under a skirt. Do you want to carry the bell and want something small? Check out the Glock 19 or the Glock 43.

New Glock 17ms Recalled Because The Slides Fell Off

One of the most common complaints I hear about bell-shaped pistols is about the base. Most people aren't happy with regular bell ringing - including me. While the stock loaders are manageable in my opinion, the standard aftermarket options are a nice touch with Glocks.

The improvements to the Gen-5 G17 trigger assembly are notable to me. The clear draw and visible break is a real help at the range when I'm shooting at a distance. A standard shield is built into the base. The shooter must press the trigger in order to fire the shot. I found a new fix and allowed me to quickly return to the "wall" for follow-up photos.

My testing of the Gen-5 G17 used for this review shows an average draw weight of 5.4 pounds — right on par with the advertised draw weight.

I was fortunate enough to avoid Glock polymer models for this review. We know this to be true - polymer stock models are common and difficult to shoot with. The model I tested was equipped with Ameriglo night monitors. Although not my favorite features, they worked well for me.

Review] Elite Force Glock 17 Gen. 4

The silver sight post combined with the finned out rear is a solid iron sight set up for me. I know I need to find a lower one but otherwise there is no problem with the provided guides.

Of all the handguns on the market, Glock is best known for their simple design and functionality. The Gen-5 Glock 17 provides an accurate and enjoyable shooting experience. I really enjoy shooting Glock handguns and have had no major problems with the design. That's not to say I don't have things that would be different.

One of the unique features of the Gen-5 G17 is the ambidextrous slide release. I thought it was odd considering he was right under my thumb in the picture as a right handed shooter. A reversible magazine release is shown in the Gen-5 photo. This just goes to show the inclusive level that Glock is aiming for.

Glock 17 Problems

While the Gen-5 G17 frame and slide offered a decent amount of texture and grip, I found myself wondering how good it would have been to have the original slide serrations. I thank Glock for listening to comments and throwing fingers here. A "one size fits all" approach does not apply when it comes to creativity.

Glock 17 Gen 4 Vs Gen 5

As I mentioned earlier, the Glock 17 embodies the idea of a staple gun for many with its easy recoil control. My ability to find sights for follow up shots seems to be better with the Glock 17. Whether that is due to practice with Glocks or not is debatable.

I conducted a muzzle velocity test as part of this review with Federal Premium HST 147 Gr. Guns - a standard self-defense round. For this test, I used a Labrador device and fired 5 rounds as my test group. I'll preface the results by saying that Federal advertises a muzzle velocity of 1,000 feet per second from a 4″ barrel.

My test showed a muzzle velocity of 1,004 feet per second — right in line with the ammunition's published specifications.

It's very hard to go wrong with a bell line - from my experience. The Gen-5 Glock 17 offers undeniable value for the price and is sure to perform when you need it. Glock options may not look the best or all bells, but they work in almost all environments and gun styles.

Glock 17 Gen. 4 Bb Pistol

Accessories and aftermarket parts are available for Glock pistols due to their popularity in the market. Finding the right holsters and lights is no longer a problem in today's business.

Thousands of law enforcement and military personnel trust the Glock 17 with their lives every day—and a large number do so by choice. This is telling a good level of performance and performance if you ask me. For those in the market for a complete handgun, the Glock 17 Gen-5 is a worthy competitor. Good luck having one in stock. As many of you have read my recent articles, I have always been a bit of an iron man. I don't think it's enough with what I have: a Gunsmith-tuned Nork Commander 1911 in .45 ACP, a Taurus 689 VR 6-inch in .357 Magnum, and a Rock Island M202 in .38 Special.

Having been on campus for a little less than a year now and working from home, I have never felt the need to get a smaller unit for concealed carry, especially small made of plastic. I've always liked plastic guns.

Glock 17 Problems

But I'm a true blue gun enthusiast, and a person who likes to try something new every now and then like all red people, even when something is on sale, it's gone. I am interested in a Gen 4 Glock 17.

The advanced surface treatment of the slide results in optimal hardness by significantly reducing wear and makes it resistant to corrosion, even when used in saltwater conditions. Matte surface minimizes light reflection. The barrel is mechanically locked and cold hammer forged. It also has the same advanced surface treatment as the slide. The extractor serves as a loaded chamber indicator to comply with the laws of some states, and its position can visually and physically indicate whether there is a cartridge in the gun's chamber.

Glock 17 Pros And Cons - When you're considering the best handgun to buy, whether it's an addition to your gun collection, home self-defense, or personal self-defense, you may want to consider which one is the best. Which is better - Glock or Sig Sauer?

Both pistols have their fans, and they are popular for good reason. Both are accurate weapons and are worth the money. A lot of the decision comes down to personal preference, including which personal characteristics you want to change (Glock 17 or Sig Sauer P226? Glock 19 or Sig Sauer P229?). To make this decision, you need to look at the pros and cons of each weapon based on your use.

Glock 17 Pros And Cons

Glock 17 Pros And Cons

When it started designing the Glock 17 in the 80s, Glock was new to gun design. However, he is very familiar with high-quality synthetic polymers. He assembled a group of experts with the intention of designing a pistol for use by the Austrian army, as they announced that they were looking for a replacement for the P38, which had been in use since World War II.

Glock 17 Gen. 4 Bb Pistol Essentials Combo

The frame, magazine body, and other parts of the Glock pistol use a high-strength nylon-based polymer made by its inventor. So-called Polymer 2 is used to increase the durability of Glock pistols, making them harder than carbon steel and many other metals. This polymer makes Glock pistols resistant to high temperatures and corrosive fluids.

The pistols are manufactured by the original Glock Company in Austria and by a division in the United States, Glock, Inc. Glock, Inc. makes a similar pistol. In all respects with their Austrian counterparts, except tied with the US instead of Austria.

SIG Sauer is a joint venture between the German company Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG) and the Swiss company J.P. Sauer & Sun. The company's US branch was established in 1976 as SIGARMS. Moved from Virginia to New Hampshire in 1990. In 2000, the US division was spun off from the parent company SIG Sauer GmbH, and in 2007 the name was changed to SIG Sauer, Inc.

SIG Sauer has a much longer history than Glock, dating back to 1853. In addition to firearms, the company makes or manufactures AR-15s, pistols, rifles, suppressors, ammunition, optics, and airsoft guns.

Glock 17 Vs 19

SIG Sauer firearms are used by militaries around the world, including the P226. The pistol is used by the New York City and Houston Police Departments, the U.S. Secret Service, the Texas Rangers, the U.S. Air Marshals, the U.S. Navy SEALs, the Royal Thai Army, the Finnish Army, and U.S. emergency response teams. Royal Canadian. mountain ranger etc.

Some general comparisons can be made between these gun makers, but to really evaluate Glock vs. Sig Sauer, you need to look at the details of specific features. We will compare two models - Sig Sauer P229 and Glock 19.

For these two specific models, the Glock 19 has more magazines than the P229, the Glock has a capacity of 15 rounds compared to the SIG's 13. Glock magazines were probably more expensive before SIG because it was more common and more versatile.

Glock 17 Pros And Cons

If you've seen the Glock and the SIG, you know the SIG wins when it comes to looks.

Glock 34: Most Accurate 9mm Gun On The Planet?

The SIG P229 is a clean, well-designed machine made of steel and a variety of materials including wood, wood and plastic.

Glock, on the other hand, is like... Glock. A box, simple and clearly designed for function rather than aesthetics.

When it comes to sights, SIG can't beat the night scene. In contrast, Glock pistols have U-shaped sights. If you go for the Glock, you might want to consider upgrading your sights.

Most people would consider the accuracy of these two pistols to be very similar. How directly you get along with others may determine how comfortable and how long you usually spend with them.

Glock 17 Gen. 4 Bb Pistol

Given the last part, this becomes important. You want your pistol to be comfortable and fun to use, so it's important to take care of each gun before you buy it.

There are weight differences between weapons. Glock's polymer structure is simple. However, if you are using a higher caliber pistol, the SIG is better than the Glock.

If you're looking for a weapon with good concealment, or something lightweight, the Glock beats the SIG in this category. If you don't plan to carry it every day, choose it based on durability and comfort in the hand.

Glock 17 Pros And Cons

SIG's first trigger with a long pull due to the double/single action design with hammer fire. This means that after the first shot, the weapon is cocked for easier drawing. This is similar to the M9.

Glock 17 P80 Build

Glock pistols, on the other hand, are loaded and always drawn. If you want to feel solid with every draw, Glock may be the best choice for you.

In the end, the choice between the two brands comes down to preference, comfort, usage and expectations. Since both brands are great value for money and are reliable and accurate weapons, you can choose between them according to your preference. , law enforcement and citizens around the world. Despite the popularity of their guns, the Glock 17 and Glock 19 will likely take the top spot.

Both pistols are very capable and efficient. Both feature a 9 mm bore and use the same design, materials and test conditions. However, they have many differences that make them unique.

So today we are going to compare two of the best and most popular pistols Glock 17 and 19 and try to answer what you get.

* G17 and G19 have many functions. In this post, we will compare the factory's GEN5 models.

In many ways, the Glock 17 and 19 are similar. However, the Glock 17 is a full size pistol, while the Glock 19 is more of a compact or medium pistol. They have the same burner, the same exhaust, and the same cartridge; however, the Glock 19 is a smaller pistol with a shorter, tighter, smoother barrel.

The Glock 17 has a 4.48" (114mm) barrel, while the Glock 19 has a 4" (102mm) barrel. With a shorter barrel, the Glock 19 is shorter at 7.28 inches (185mm) compared to the Glock 17's 8.03 inches (204mm).

Glock 17 Pros And Cons

When it comes to concealment, which is what most compact pistols are designed for, grip height is more important than slide length. That's why the difference between bond sizes is greater than the difference in barrel length. The Glock 19 is 5.04" (128mm) tall with a magazine, while the Glock 17 is 6.50" (165mm). In terms of socket width and overall width, the Glock 17 and 19 are about the same size.

The feel of recoil and accuracy depends on the shooter. However, as far as pistols go, the Glock 17 and 19 are the most accurate in the hands of shooters. Technically, although the Glock 17 has a longer barrel, it should allow the bullet to stay longer and thus be more accurate. Although, of course, it is difficult to distinguish the accuracy of these guns. They are both very accurate pistols, due in large part to a number of reasons. However, the unique polygonal rifling used in Glock pistols is one of the main reasons for its excellent accuracy. Glock changed the rifle and crown of the Gen5 model to improve its accuracy.

In terms of recoil, the two pistols are again the same. Despite the short barrel, the Glock 19 is very easy to hold, even with large hands. Weight also affects the recoil of the gun, although the Glock 19 is lighter, there is no noticeable difference in recoil. The short ball kicks a bit more, but the difference isn't so big that a real expert should notice it.

In terms of magazine capacity, the Glock 17's magazine holds 17 rounds of 9mm bullets, one of which is chambered. Note that this is not why it is called Glock 17. The "17" refers to the patent number and not the magazine capacity. The Glock 19 has 15 rounds, one of which is in the chamber. Short slides mean carrying a short magazine. However, if you
