Glock 43 Review - Is it too much to ask for a mouse gun that is stable and shoots at least 9mm? Based on the variety of other offers on the market, it could be argued that a combination of all three is a tall order. The .380's variety of weapons was nice, but the 9mm's form factor was an unwieldy beast.

Then came the Smith & Wesson shield. Shield was a huge hit. Many people appreciate the trigger, the perfect balance of size and carry, and confidence. It was the first pocket pistol that people actually enjoyed and wanted to shoot.

After nearly five years as the undisputed market leader, Glock finally gave Gaston a few glasses and brought the G42 .380 to market. The 42 was a success in its own right, but people wanted the 9mm, and very badly. With the success of the G42, the G43 was soon ready to build the reputation of the Glock name.

So, does the Glock 43 live up to the Glock name and compare to the Shield? Or is it just another single stack 9mm on the current flood market with the name Glock on it?

Many of the photos of the G43 shown in this review are of the latest configuration. However, hundreds of rounds were down from stock orders. There will be a future article about my personal updates and upgrades in the near future.

True to its Glock form, the G43 now comes in a standard Glock hard case. Emblazoned with the Glock logo on the exterior sides and latches, the case is a significant improvement over its predecessor "Tupperware." It contains the usual necessities of a used shell, child lock, cleaning rod, cleaning brush, magazine loading tool (with Gen 4 textures!) and manual. The pistol itself has two magazines, each holding 6 rounds. One contains a pink shelf.

Picking up a gun will make anyone familiar with a Glock feel right at home and a little uneasy. The pistol is a small, real mouse gun. At 6 inches tall by about 4.25 inches tall, it's decidedly smaller than standard dual-stack Glocks, but the ultra-thin and small grips make it feel even smaller. It has a generally accepted Gen 4 texture, but since it lacks a pinky finger and wraps around a 50th percentile hand, I'm not sure how controllable this little guy is.

Controls are Glock focused on Gen 4 architecture. The slide stop is on the left, but for now I'd argue that it's the only true slide stop. Its structure and small size make it unsuitable for leaving. The magazine release is square and interchangeable for left-handed use. Everything else is "Glock", from the feel of the polymer frame to the soft finish of the barrel and slide. The extractor doubles as a loaded chamber indicator, and these sights are a bad Glock stock option. Disappointingly, this "modern" weapon has no Picatinny rails or any type of rail.

The pistol differs little from previous gen 3 and 4 options, and most of the changes are relatively minor and internal. Gone is the lock block pin, instead there is only one pin for the trigger, slide release and lock block. The geometry of the firing pin safety has been changed from a fully rotating part to a unidirectional MiM part. Lastly, the truck return springs have been moved to "NY" style. It's trivial when combined, but still notable only for Glocks' general insistence on keeping everything the same.

When I first got out on the range, I hated platforms in general. I personally took it with my EDC gun because I had to put it in my shirt at the office. The G19 can be tucked in just fine, but I found the grip to be a bit long, usually for thin office wear like button-downs or khakis. So I only care if it is filmed and usable. Fun guns for me are usually pretty big.

I set it up on the scope, loaded two magazines, inserted a pinky extended mag, and racked the action. A powerful recoil spring stands out. With a smaller serrated grip section, lighter slide and smaller grip, the G43 requires a bit more maneuvering to operate. This one is too difficult to bring along, but those with weak muscles may want to check out the gun at the store before taking it home.

When you hit your target at 10 yards, the stock Glock scope rears its ugly head. The G43 still uses the same standard plastics, not fancy settings in the Glock lineup. The G43, which could normally be used with larger guns, had one major problem. The front post was too wide for the rear sight. Trying to get "same height, same light" is difficult when you can't find the light. Therefore, I was forced to use the white dot behind the white "U" and immediately hated it.

With the stock trigger, putting rounds through the stock Glock was a chore. The trigger has been slightly improved with a new spring and firing pin safety, but it is still as intimidating and attractive as the various other models. It now has a thinner grip and scope. I honestly didn't enjoy my first scope session. But one thing, I realized that the gun shoots well.

Touching the slide is a challenge, but the large springs do an amazing job of helping small critters move when they hit the fence and are carried downhill. Yes, the trigger sucks, but before ignoring everything, the Shot G43 is a real plastic masterpiece. The texture helps grip and hold the gun in place on the back or in general when fired. I was given an offer I couldn't refuse.

The G43 ate almost everything I threw at it except for a Winchester USA Forged 9mm. Slightly drawn to those with various inability to ejaculate and inability to ejaculate. All other brass and steel loaded ammunition ran without problems.

In the accuracy department, the stock pistol was shooting 3-4 inches at 10 yards, which is quite a bit more than a full-size pistol can do, but I don't think this is an accurate gun. In stock form, it's out of the Dodge Gun. I wouldn't call it a headshot hostage situation.

Later, aftermarket sights, longer magazines, and new triggers were used to reduce this group by 50%. Guns can offer better mechanical accuracy, but are hampered by size, scopes, etc. More on that in the next article.

I also quickly gained an appreciation for Pink Expansion Magazine. I like poking through the flesh of my hand because I only have three fingers on my gun and I'm actually only holding two. It doesn't have enough clout to keep it right. However, the addition of the pink handle makes the weapon a lot more stable, so if you're worth the scope and trigger it'll be almost fun to shoot. I still don't understand why the Glock can't have a factory 7 round magazine rather than a small expansion.

To the amazement and ridicule of the gun community at the same time, Gluck continues to use the slogan "perfect". But I think it's safe to say that the Glock isn't "perfect" for an absolute plastic masterpiece of engineering and shooting performance. Many nut choices are available in designs such as reduced "grip angle" front teeth, full mid-trigger, clearance position only, and more.

But if Glock said it was "closer to perfect," they'd likely be on the right track. As much as I've always loved putting the Glock in the competitive handgun arena, the Glock is always the best when it comes to simplicity, reliability, and ease of customization. Yes, different pistols each have their strengths, but few can approach the Glock when looking at the full package (many are very close, but I'm looking at Smith & Wesson).

So how does the G43 fit into this paragraph? I'd say it's an almost perfect fit. I have a few complaints about the mouse gun (stock location, lack of rails), but the pros outweigh the cons. Like all Glock's, simplicity, reliability, customization and support are all there. Of course, it is not the most beautiful shooter, but it is done with complete reliability. If you really enjoy shooting, you may need some upgrades.

What more could you ask for when looking for ADC options? (Okay, you can ask for aesthetic cues, forwards, rails, etc)? It's good to know that the gun in my ass will reach (nearly) "perfect" in a scene full of danger, adrenaline, and uncertainty. The G43 is a solid weapon.

Gun & Flower Glock 43/43x Kydex Iwb Holster Fits Tlr 6 And Red Dot

This is a great case and an absolute steal for the price! The cover is light but strong. Very comfortable to wear all day. I've never had an inverted holster before, so I was amazed at how firmly the holster held the revolver. Even when I'm driving around town or working in the yard, I feel confident that the gun is firmly in place and won't come loose. The holster was very easy to adjust - much easier than other shoulder rigs I've used. It works great in my Charter Arms Undercover .38 as well as the S&W Model 60-7 in .38. It should easily fit any other j frame size revolver. I would like to note that this holster will not work with the Ruger SP101. Although the SP101 is similar in size to the j-frame, it's just too big to fit.

The parcel arrived by the expected date in perfect condition. It fits my PPK/S like a glove, has a nice strong snap button that keeps it secure until it needs to be pulled out. I like the feel of it and the Chicago screws on the adjustable leather straps are a really nice touch in my opinion. Overall a 10/10 product that I would happily recommend anytime. If I get another gun that this dealer makes holsters for, I get the holster from here to put it in there.

Excellent preservation, beautiful drawing. The orientation of the release click seems backwards, but I'm used to it. I prefer this. I'm 5'10 157lbs and wear slim fit suits everyday. Is this a great solution? No, but it's very close. The main problem is that when I button up the jacket, there is quite a lot of print on it. I do not care. The jacket is unbuttoned, disappears. Glock 17 Pro - Glock is known for making some of the most popular handguns on the market, and for good reason. Pistols that are simple, reliable and rugged seem to be gaining interest in the industry - strange, right? Once you put a design in place that works and works well, many dismiss "updates" and revisions as a marketing ploy. The newest Glock 17 (Gen-5) is a pistol trusted by many in the LE and military community. Let's take a close look at this pistol in this Glock 17 Gen-5 review.

I think it's fair to be up front and say that I own a few Glocks (including a Gen-4 Glock 17.)  So I may feel biased in my opinion With that in mind, I don't like everything about the Glock - and I probably I will never love it. My personal opinion is that it is important to look beyond brand loyalty, especially when it comes to guns.

Glock 17 Pro

It's no secret that the Glock 17 holds an important place in the firearms community. With extensive government and private use, the G17 has become almost the standard among full-size handguns. Dating back to the 1980s, these Austrian-made 9mm polymer frame pistols have seen more use. Whether you're a Glock fan or not, the reputation is undeniable.

Glock 17 Gen 1

Glock released the Gen-5 series in 2017 as their newest generation (as of this writing.) Each generation brings changes. Some of these changes seen in the Gen-5 G17 are quite subtle, while others are more obvious. An improved barrel, lack of finger grooves, a well-beveled and flared magazine, and improved sights are found on the Gen-5 models.

With a full-size frame and barrel length, the Glock 17 handles well for most people. If you're used to shooting compact single-stack guns, the G17 will feel like a high-end gun. Not exactly - but you get the idea.

When I first received the Gen-5 Glock 17 for this review, I felt right at home with it—it's not that different from the Gen-4 Glock 17 I own. The changes aren't that drastic and the overall hand position is more or less the same, apart from no finger grooves.

Like any other Glock, the frame is square and the beauty is lame. The ergonomics and looks found in Glocks are things that people seem to either love or hate.

New From Glock: Optics Ready Glock 17 And 19

I quickly got a good look at the flared magazine as it was something you see on the Gen-4 G17. For many, this is a nice touch directly related to faster and smoother calendar changes.

My experience with the Gen-5 Glock 17 in the series has been mostly positive and had few surprises. For this review, I ran hundreds of rounds of various types of ammunition through the G17. Cycle all ammo smoothly - including Premium Federal 147 Gr. HST ammo I tested.

In terms of accuracy, I felt pretty confident with the G17 out to 25 yards. The updated trigger was something I noticed and appreciated while shooting. That's something I'll talk more about in a bit, but his development looked great.

From a concealment standpoint, I don't see many trying to carry a concealed G17. Unless you're a bigger person, the frame is likely to be difficult to hide effectively without heavy layers. That being said, I think the frame could work well for the waistband worn under a jacket. Want to carry a Glock and need something smaller? Check out the Glock 19 or the Glock 43.

One of the most common complaints I hear about Glock pistols is about the trigger. Most people don't seem to be impressed with a standard Glock trigger - myself included. Although the stock triggers are manageable, aftermarket options usually match Glocks in my opinion.

The improvements to the Gen-5 G17 trigger assembly stood out to me. The smooth draw and frustration seemed to help the range when pushing your shot speed. A standard blade safety is built into the trigger. The shooter must lower this muzzle to fire the pistol. I noticed a reset that was clean and allowed me to quickly return to the "wall" for subsequent shots.

My testing of the Gen-5 G17 used for this review showed an average trigger pull weight of 5.4 pounds – exactly the same as the advertised pull weight.

I was lucky enough to miss the Glock polymer stock sights for this review. We all know it's true - stock polymer sights are usually tight and difficult to shoot. The model I tested was equipped with Ameriglo night sights. While the scenes weren't my favorite, they worked well for me.

After A Month And A Half Of Waiting My G17 Gen 5 Mos Is Finally Here!

A colorful front sight paired with a dark background is usually a solid sight setup for me. I found I had to aim a little low, but otherwise had no problem with the shots provided.

Of all the pistols on the market, the Glock is particularly known for its simple and functional design. The Gen-5 Glock 17 provided a mostly straightforward and enjoyable shooting experience. I enjoy shooting Glock pistols and generally don't have major issues with the design. That's not to say I don't have things I wish were different about them.

One of the most unique aspects of the Gen-5 G17 was the integrated ambidextrous slide release. I thought it was a bit odd as it sat right under my index finger in the frame as a right handed shooter. On the Gen-5 chassis there is a reversible magazine well. This shows the level of inclusivity that Glock is aiming for.

While the Gen-5 G17 frame and slide provided plenty of texture and grip, I found myself thinking how nice it would be to have front skid layers. I applaud Glock for listening to the feedback and putting out the seams here. A "one size fits all" approach is usually not ideal when it comes to handle structure.

Glock 17 Gen 5 Review

As I mentioned earlier, the Glock 17 embodies that basic feel for many with a flat back setup. My ability to track the sights for continuous shots seems to be the same as the Glock 17. Whether this is due to training with Glocks or not is debatable.

I did a muzzle velocity test as part of this review using Federal Premium HST 147 Gr. ammunition - a common self-defense round. For this test, I used a  Labradar machine and fired 5 rounds as a test group. I will preface the results by saying that Federal advertises a muzzle velocity of 1,000 feet per second from a 4″ barrel.

My test showed an average muzzle velocity of 1,004 feet per second—right in line with the ammo's advertised specifications.

It's pretty hard to go wrong with the Glock line - from my perspective. The Gen-5 Glock 17 offers undeniable value for the price and is guaranteed to perform when you need it to. Glock options may not look as fancy or have all the bells and whistles, but they work in almost any environment and with almost any type of gun.
